It seems as though genies were somewhat of a peculiar fixation in the 1990s. Maybe it was because Disney's Aladdin was so well-liked, or maybe it was just that people were so intrigued by these fabled Middle Eastern creatures. In any case, everyone is familiar with the beloved movie Shazaam, in which comedian Sinbad stars.

The issue is, that the movie didn't exist! It appears that people still recall the first film. Shaquille O'Neil's role in the Shaquille O'Neil-starring film Kazaam, along with the fact that Sinbad once appeared on TV in an outfit resembling a genie, resulted in an entirely fictional film!
